Elliott
Following on from
Basker & Co came Vincent Elliott, who appears from recovered bottles to
have been a relatively large volume producer of mineral waters. This appears to
have been in spite of the company only operating from 1895 to around 1911.
The company has
left an assortment of bottles including several different ginger beers, Codd
bottles and Riley’s patent internal screw stoppered bottles.
Early bottles
carry the legend “Elliott late Basker & Co” which confirms the link between
the companies. Many bottles carry the distinctive VE trade mark.
