Another instance of companies of the same name operating within the three towns is found with the Jewell name.

 

H. Jewell of Bounds Place, Plymouth are listed between 1910 and 1933 under the strange sounding category of “Herb Beer Manufacturers”.

 

Jewell & Son of West Hoe Road, Plymouth are also listed as herb beer manufacturers operating between 1910 and 1916.

 

The latter company is the more commonly found, with their bottles usually featuring a large J trade mark.
