Michell

Frederick Baron Mitchell is another little known company, operating from Station Road, Plymouth. Amongst the bottles issued by this company is the Barrett & Elers patent bottle with its elongated shape and wooden “stick” stopper.

The most eagerly sought however is the very rare Michell’s Patent with its internal glass stopper, (a version of which also exists from St.Austell), the details of Michells patent application of 20^th April 1878 are shown below.
