Ryall

There appear to be four uses of the Ryall name in Plymouth, the first being William Ryall, a wine & spirit merchant operating from 39 Union St, Plymouth from 1844 - 1850

Next we come across Robert Ryall a brewer operating from 4 Russell St in 1852

Thirdly we encounter George Ryall, brewer of 41 Frankfort St, operating from 1877 – 1888. This company being absorbed into Plymouth Breweries in 1889

The fourth use being the later partnership of Phillips & Ryall, a firm of wine and spirit merchants, operating from premises in 98 & 99 Union St between 1889 and 1902. This incarnation of the name is found on stoneware flagons and black glass beer bottles, the latter being quite rare finds. (The Union St premises were later taken over by the Heavitree Brewery Co)
