Trout
Two incarnations of the Trout name have been
recorded as operating in Stonehouse (presumably the same family).
The earliest was Archaleus Trout who operated
from around 1878 until 1889. Followed by George Trout, who was operating from 1895
until around 1904.
Bottles from both companies are found
(stoneware ginger beers, glass minerals and Codd bottles), the older A.Trout
versions being much scarcer than the G.Trout bottles. Variations of the ginger
beer bottles include all white & two tone varieties with transfers applied
in various directions.
