James Richard Wilson was a brewer, wine
merchant and public house owner issuing a variety of glass beer bottles. The
company operated from numerous addresses in the three towns from at least 1889
until the 1940s.
The most
sought after examples having a pictorial trade mark of Sir Francis Drake
although the versions without Drake appears to be less common.
